If you don't return the damaged Kindle within 30 days, you will be charged the price of the replacement device, not to exceed the original purchase price. **
  Stolen Devices: If your device is stolen, you should notify the police in the country it was stolen within 48 hours (or as soon as reasonably possible, if it is not possible to do so within 48 hours) and obtain a police crime reference number. When you call to file your claim, we will first verify this crime reference number, and then we will ship the replacement device.
